I've agreed the purchase of a manual 2019 718 Spyder, car is in lovely condition and has residual Porsche warranty until the end of 2026.

I've requested an over rev report on the car prior to payment, I should get this report today, as from prior experience I understand this is significant with a manual Porsche.

Has anybody had such a report back they could share on here? Whats the general conscientious of what should come back and what Porsche would deem as normal from a retail standard / warranty perspective?

I don't know what it's like for the current cars, but for the 997 engines, it used to be that Porsche would warranty up to 3 - anything over and it would be a no. Personally, I'd walk away from a car with ignition outside of the first 2.

Seems that the 718 and later cars has only 3 ranges, thankfully car i'm buying has only a handful in range 1, nothing in range 2 or 3.

Looking forward to picking it up.

Some useful info in the 911virgin guide. The topic isn t necessarily black and white .. and not as scary as some would have you believe…..
