Sony 65 OLED for snug - A80L/A80K?
Discussion
Looking to upgrade my current 7yr old Sony 55” TV in my snug and want to move to OLED 65” but don’t fancy paying £1.5-2k for the Bravia 8 as just an occasional TV, albeit mainly movies/Netflix.
Considering trying to pick up a Sony A80K/A80L 65” OLED and looking to get some real world views and experience from current owners.
There doesn’t seem to be many for sale - is that because they’re good and people tend to hang onto them.
I’d also consider A95K/A95L but these really are like hens teeth - and presume I’d be paying more than a new Bravia 8 anyway.
Really appreciate any views, plus a nudge if anyone happens to be looking for opportunity to upgrade themselves.

I have the XR83-A80L and have no complaints. Picture quality is superb, and decent sound from the inbuilt speaker, which if I remember correctly is actually transmitted through the whole screen panel vibrating? If I'm watching a film, I tend to run that through my 5.1 system, and normal TV through the inbuilt speaker. No problem with connectivity or inputs and good range of adjustments for personalisation.
I bought it at the time as most of the reviews rated it against the A95L and reckoned that although the picture wasn't as good, and bear in mind the A95L was very highly reviewed, the A80L was the better value option due to the price difference which was pretty substantial. Info here ....
