Has anyone detected - or had success in getting - a discount on a new Macan S (petrol version)?

I just missed a nice <2k miles demonstrator, with a very strong spec at my local OPC.

Configuring a new one to a similar level takes the price to >£80k plus Rachel Thieves' tax, so a healthy discount would be nice!

Also - active cruise has disappeared from the configurator, along with Surface Coated discs?

Was this a bug, or are these no longer available since July?

Discount from a Porsche dealer on a Macan......laugh

You've got two hopes, and one's Bob.

Active cruise issue might be parts supply given how many of them are being nicked from the front of Porsche's and VW/Audi in recent times...?

Full spec Macan S was around mid-60k when I was playing the configurator game back in 2022/3, and on the point of putting down a deposit, but sadly loss of job then time put paid to putting an order in, and work has been variable since, and now with retirement around the corner, that boat has now sailed away for me. Although with the increase in Macan thefts of late, I'm perhaps glad now I didn't buy one.

Where is the evidence of that?

There's enough evidence here on threads on PH alone, with from PH'rs that have had them stolen, let alone on various Porsche forums.

I can t confirm if there are any discounts going but I received a call from my OPC asking if I wanted to buy one recently.

That s never happened before because they don t like me. Despite buying 3 new cars I always sell privately as opposed to trading in and never take finance which riles them. My assumption is they are looking for sales which means there is room for negotiation, either with the actual price or discounted spec upgrades. If you don t ask, etc, etc.

In the current climate, there's always a deal to be done, especially this time of year with the annual target deadline looming. Check the new car filter on the Porsche network and the configurator link makes it easy to see if cars are discounted. And no dealer is going to show there best price on a public network - that's just a starting point. Here's a couple of examples discounted by a few grand (3k to 6k). I didn't realise python green was still going.

Actually you do have a hope wink
If buying a new car in stock expect 4-5k off. See Porsche dealers eg this T with 6K off rrp https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsch...
On a new order to your spec, I would want at least 2-3k off.

I guess that discount will pay for the first year of road tax frown

Price quoted is plus the first years road tax at £4,680 and Reg fee £55

I managed to get the first year's theft - sorry road tax - and a bit more discount.

I looked at loads of new stock and could not find find anything that met all my requirements, so did the box ticking thing.

It is probably the last new car that I will buy, so why not.

And the scheduled build date should make it one of the last of this generation so obviously an appreciating asset.

(I was joking on the last bit....)

Maybe a bit late for the OP but Porsche contacted us a couple of weeks ago to see if we wanted to upgrade. They have a massive list of stock / pipeline Macan and 12% discount seems possible. For us the cost to change does not really seem worth it just to get a slightly newer car.

No big issue that surface coated brakes can no longer be spec'd. They're fitted to my 23 GTS, bought used, and I hate them. Incredibly grabby and hard to modulate, so much so I'm thinking of getting rid!
