Think Battery is failing and wondered which is best standard size battery for A110
Should I stick to S4 E05 Bosch Car Battery 12V 60Ah Type 027 EFB S4E05 at around £90 or is it worth upgrading too a
ODP-AGM47 ODYSSEY PERFORMANCE Battery 47-650 at around £240

Searched though forum, lots of discussions but cannot find definitive answer as to what is best standard fitment battery?

Had them on prior cars with no issues

Topic says "best battery". IMHO, best is lightest. So long as you don't mind paying 8x the cost of heavy one.

Yes seen this, but to be honest chickened out over service light being on, rather than cost. Would love the weight saving, but want to keep standard looking/acting as much as possible.

Indeed we’re all different as I interpret this as best for longevity and ease of use, whilst maintaining the vehicle’s weight distribution balance

Different products for different needs.

Like the look of the antigravity not heard much feedback on the

No service light. That was confirmed as unrelated.

Weight distribution difference is equivalent to 1/3 tank of fuel.

Followed your lead and installed an Antigravity H5 two years ago Liam (after a long chat with a very helpful Paul at Antigravity) and it has been faultless to date. I can leave it for 6-7 weeks unused in the garage over the winter and it never fails to start instantly. The weight saving for the cost of the battery is one of the best value upgrades for the A110 I reckon. Equivalent to c.30% of a tank of petrol, as you say, plus it is a weight reduction high up in the car even further from the roll centre than the fuel tank.

I agree the change to a LiON battery is well worth it for weight saving & longevity.

I bought Justin's car with the "cheap AliExpress" battery & it's not given any problems. A name brand version will still pay for itself eventually, but I suspect the one in my car was a similar cost to a replacement OEM battery.

The Stop/Start was left unplugged at the battery, & Justin 3D printed a piece that covers the LED so I don't have that glowing at me constantly. The only thing is a "check start/stop" message that comes up on the dash which I don't see when I click the stalk to change the screen to anything else.

When you consider how much people spend on some compoents to save a few pounds, being able to drop ~13kg (>28 pounds) so cheaply it's an easy choice. Not as sexy as an ultra lightweight set of wheels or a carbon roof, but come on...!

Thanks for all the Help, but guess I don't want best battery after all. Would love to lose the weigh, but want to keep everything as standard functionality.
Less important now as hibernating car, and will replace in spring.
