Transit mk7 oil in coolant

Hi all,

Recently noticed the coolant in my van to be rather black, it’s not displaying any signs of head gasket failure as temperature is ok and the coolant isn’t emulsified, is there an oil cooler on the 2.2 engine that could of let go?

Yea oil cooler. Sold loads when worked at ford. They modified them for later vans. You can get repair kits on ebay etc but dont always work.
Its part of oil filter houseing.

I’ll have to see how much one is and get it replaced, luckily I already have the the coolant, oil and filter already

Is your filter a paper element style or a spin on metal?
Im sure that was part of the modified cooler and filter housing.
