Prospective purchase - Sport SV or Octa
Discussion
Hi all
Appreciate a bit of a tasteless topic, but we have loved our D350 first edition for 3 years and are now ready to change.
We love the current car, things have moved on a little and so can now justify the extra spend although will likely buy lightly used.
Pros for the Range - basically the ultimate of a car we love
Octa - in some ways a bit cooler / bit more effort made and would feel ‘newer’ to us as not had similar before.
Appreciate any thoughts

Are you currently in a Defender? Or a D350 RRS?
I've not driven the Octa, but keep hearing and reading very positive feedback. It does feel like an engineering marvel and I'd love to own one. My only hesitate would be the uncertainty around values - surely the depreciation curve will be steeper than the RRS SV?

Ultimately it's going to come down to personal preference, really - both are amazing cars albeit in slightly different ways.
What's the use case for this car, and do you have any other cars that you use? This might help focus it towards one or the other.

100% road - absolute mixture of short and long trips.
The only other consideration after a weekend of browsing, is a Cayenne in either GTS or Turbo e hybrid
I think you would be off your rocker to put that sort of money into such a problematic company tbh.
I also question £150k on a defender. Bonkers.
To summarise, are you mad mate?
I would personally be looking at a spicy Cayenne or maybe the RSQ8 at that money.
