Disco 5 has just developed a loud whistling sound in the cabin above about 50mph. Checked windscreen seal and A pillar and can’t see anything unusual. No other changes to car. Any ideas? Thanks

I expect your windscreen has come unbonded. Good news is the forecast is OK this week (assuming you are in the UK) so get it sorted whilst you can! Don't leave it, or pretend you think its something else, you'll regret it when the rain comes back (i know from experience). If its in warranty take it to a dealer, if not you can just get it rebonded by a window repair specialist (think Autoglass, but i'm sure you can find someone more local). Cost me £140. I think some people out of warranty have had luck arguing to get it done by JLR but I wouldnt bother. Others told me take a hammer to my window and get it replaced under insurance however commiting fraud to save £140 seemed like a pretty poor life choice... this website helped me get some quotes - https://www.mywindscreen.co.uk/

Thanks would make sense i guess it’s not something you can see if it becomes unbonded?

Already had the screen replaced a couple of years ago as it was leaking badly when I think they all did that

On mine if you pushed the screen from the inside along top edge you could see it move very slightly. Annoyingly mine had been fixed once before too, albeit not fully removed before doing so

Good call - been intro Landrover and it was the screen coming unbonded. New windscreen as existing already had a crack. Thanks a lot
