So I had bought a honda civic ej6 coupe with a spun rod bearing.
I swapped in a b16a2 and the engine works great no problems there.

When I towed the car to the garage the engine was idiing so I'd still have steering and brakes whilst being dragged by the car infront.
During this time the speedometer worked fine along with all the other gauges.

Since the swap was completed, the speedometer has not worked. All other gauges work (tach, fuel and temp) are completly fine
Ive checked the fuses, changed the VSS but still nothing.
P28 ECU has been chipped with a b16 basemap.

Surely the speedo should have no reason to not work since it worked before the swap and I never messed with the cluster during the swap itself.
Any help or ideas are much appreciated.

Two bad VSS or wrong size gear on the spindle, wiring or plug fault, or something wrong with the speedo section inside the clock.

Not sure if the setup is similar but in my EP3 the pins in the VSS plug corroded. Water must have got to them. I also bought a new VSS only to find it didn't fix the problem.
