Old man has two bikes

Moto Guzzi 850 special

and a Enfield 350 classic

Earlier this week the 350 got a rear puncture, it has now been fixed but he wants to upgrade it to BT 46's

A place in Wigan wanted damn near £400 to do the whole job.

So were in the North West do you guys get your tyres bought and fitted

need to call these days just turning up is frowned on

Obviously not everyone will be up for this - but I just do mine myself - even my R1 - with levers. It doesn’t take long at all, you can do them at your own convenience and you can save a bomb on both the tyres and fitting.

The way that bike and car garages are getting I’m contemplating getting a second hand tyre machine (I guess I’ll need a balancer for car wheels too). I think it’d pay for itself in a couple of years.

Steve at F&B in Sandbach charged me £25 to swap a tyre and balance it ,which I think is reasonable.

I'm on the border between Wigan and St Helens and always go to R and D mot in Rainford for stuff like this.

Buy my own tyres and Dan fits them. Think he charged me £40 front and rear (wheels on the bike) last year, but might charge a bit more now.
