With so many wheels now with an open design, you can see the mess behind being the filthy brake disc hubs and calipers and it looks a mess after a few months unless your fanatical about cleaning. Some are metal and others an the alloy type material which are even worse being porous.
Is there a product that can protect these parts, obviously needs to be heat resistant or how do you keep yours clean?

Get the discs plated. The brake area soon gets scraped off, but the centre and the vents won't rust.

I paint calipers and hubs on my stuff unless it already has pre finished parts like the Brembos on the Porsche. I’ve painted all those parts on our old Lexus, I often just use whatever silver I have, not being heat proof doesn’t matter on most things. If it’s a performance car being driven hard, like my Evo, or laden and heavy like my van, I use heat proof on them. It’s all in the prep and how reguarly you clean them once they’re painted as to how long they stay looking smart. Worth doing though if you’re an OCD freak!

Easy to sort.

Bilt Hamber Atom Mac. Will not remove existing corrosion but once cleaned up a quick spray after each wash keeps them protected

something like these ? they fit between the wheel hub and the wheel
I had them many years ago on my Audi Quattro but can't remember the name
May have been wheel shields ?

Can only find them in the U S at the moment

They look like they could give problems with heat building up by restricting airflow. Not a good look in my opinion but probably help.
