As were many of us, I was completely puzzled at the time of the famous Jaguar announcement.

Stop production of all Jaguar cars.
Employees disappear, dealers close.
Wait more than a year.
Then launch a £100,000 plus, battery electric Jaguar and hope enough will be sold to make a profit.
Judging by what has happened with the Porsche Taycan and the Mercedes-Benz EQS, it all appeared to be fantasy.

A concept car was revealed.

Now I think I can understand what the plan really is.

The car will be a Huawei S800. See how similar it is to the Jaguar concept.
Purchased at low cost in China, delivered to Solihull for the badging to be changed by the one Jaguar employee, increase the price, everyone's a winner.

mmm, whilst the silhouette is similar it's totally different. I very much much doubt Jaguar are going to do a City Rover. In actual fact this looks more like the concept Bentley then the Jag.. Interesting though isn't it that design direction of recent concepts seems to be going the way that Jag envisaged it with the Type 00. Do you think they actually know something we don't . I suspect so.
