Forza Horizon 6 - Japan

Outstanding. The only reason I reinstalled Motorsport was the addition of Fujimi Kaido. But after the massive disappointment of Motorsport they need to up their game for the next Horizon.
Different studios. Turn 10 developed the Motorsport series and Playground Games developed the Horizon series. Having said that, the Motorsport series is dead with most Turn 10 staff made redundant. Those few who remain are now assisting Playground with Horizon 6 so you never know but I would expect it to be okay. The location that they should have used years ago when the franchise was fresh. It's totally worn out now and this feels like a bit of a last gasp 'please, come back!' moment. The last Motorsport game was a letdown and Horizon descended into toe-curling nonsense a long time ago. I don't expect much from this one.
That looks excellent. Love the customisation they're adding to your garage/home, the public meets sound good as well. The career progression is also right up my street. The biggest thing wrong with Forza Motorsport was the career mode which was just sprawling and gave you no sense of progression.
Audio updates and tyre wear are interesting as well, let's see how many cars it applies on though as like some of the models, some of the engine sounds were very old on some cars.
Day one for me.

There were a few different Kei cars in there, hopefully they're playable and not just traffic cars. Window graphics, nice. I saw the MX-5 with the engine sticking out and the first thought was they were going all out on the car models for engine swaps
, but it's a special car like a Hot Wheels custom thing. Bigger map with a bigger city, yay but don't make it a ghost town. Actual garages with your cars in them, just like the TDU games, nice.
Looking good so far.
