It would be lovely if this thread didn't get closed down like the last one about the Jog On campaign because some people can't accept that migrants aren't single handedly responsible for this filth.

Shocking statistics and something that should make anyone think what the hell we are teaching our boys and men.

Majority of girls and young women in UK alter behaviour to feel safe, study finds

"Overall, 68% said they changed their everyday behaviour to avoid being sexually harassed, with one in three (32%) altering what they wear. More than a quarter (28%) of the 2,640 respondents said they had avoided places where they used to socialise and one in 10 (12%) changed where they exercise."

When you've got the likes of Andrew Tate being dripped in boys and young mens ears and seen by what I think are too many people as someone that should be listened to along with men that get far too defensive about some of the behaviours that cause girls and women to feel that way I'm not as surprised as I think I should be that in 2025 it's not only still and issue but in some areas it's more of an issue than it was previously.

As the article says though it's the girls and women we should be asking and more importantly listening to.

To be honest other than the billy big balls types I see who think they're hard men, I think most of us do don't we?

All humans alter their behaviour often for various situations, unless that was a very well thought out set of questions, i'm not sure strong conclusions could come from it.

I suspect I will regret this as no doubt there will be a predictable response.

However I’m not sure that random sexual assaults are Tate’s style.
He’s got all the profile of a groomer. And his cadre probably follow the same MO (look at my car, my cigar etc)

However there is an ongoing issue which may be related.

Not all men.

It's the immigrants innit.

And the transgenders.

What do you mean women feel threatened when a bunch of drunken men shout "get yer tits out for the lads" at them? It's just banter.

Did I do it right?

Do the same study for boys and young men. Might be a while back for me, but I remember considering where and how I travelled.

Some people are dicks; last one I met was female, but certainly no lady.

That "get yer tits out for the lads" has been a factor for decades if not centuries.
I don’t see anything in culture that has changed that. I’m sure many of us lived through the lad mag era (loaded, nuts etc). It didn’t measurably change the metric.
Tate may have in recent years but as I say it’s not his mo.
Weird imported behaviours as Germany experienced re the Cologne nonsense, isn’t just migrant blaming. That actually happened.

I parked my car the other side of a short tunnel tonight. When I went back it was dark. So I took the long way round to avoid the tunnel to avoid getting mugged/bummed/beaten up whatever.

I'm astonished that 30% of women are so reckless that they never alter their behaviour. Seems like common sense to me.

I would argue its not "migrants" as such. Its more a culture that's started infesting the UK from the mid 00s onwards and hasn't stopped growing in its membership

A culture that sees women as less than men,
the property of their husbands,
that insists women should hide their body totally to avoid "sexually exciting men" (utter victim blaming fkery, as if a sexually excited man is therefore unable to control himself!)
a culture that in its most traditional form is ok with rape in marriage.
A culture where marrying your cousin is not a taboo.

I'm sure some will use the "phobia" angle to try and deflect. But, frankly its not a phobia if its justified by the pro-rata crime stats!

As for the "get your tits out" wkers. They are a very small number of people. And I would suggest that drunk bravado aside, its not happening randomly in the street at 3pm. I dont think I know a single guy in the last 25 years whose shouted that. Most guys will nudge each other and say "check her out" and say daft things to each other. Very, very few will be abusive to someone they dont know.

Obviously Its still something that needs to be stamped out (or just give the guys a good kicking)

Many many years ago in the now long since closed Tiger Tiger in Croydon, I was sat on the edge of the dancefloor by a table. And a couple of girls, put their drinks on our table whilst they carried on dancing. When they'd had enough, they returned to the table, collected their drinks and went off somewhere else.

I was staggered anyone could be so trusting of strangers. I'm obviously not the type to spike a girls drink, but it seemed so stupid to risk it! No daughter of mine will go out of an evening without being warned about it!

I hear that nowadays ladies are more savvy to it, and its sadly also seeing a resurgence amongst the s of our society as a tactic!

As numbers of people from different cultures who don't see girls and women as equals rise it's understandable that some will have to suffer for the sake of diversity as we have been told before by the labour MP Naz Shah and apparently Jess Phillips chooses to ignore it for votes no wonder there are many women who feel unsafe in fact it's not only sexual attacks but terror attacks are also a big worry for anyone.

Anybody with a wife or adult daughters, or female friends, will already be aware of this; in short there are a lot of pathetic blokes out there who have no idea about how to interact with women. Being perved on in public places, on nights out, or at the gym, or just going for a run is common place. And if you ignore them you get called various names or worse.

If this is a surprise to any men, then fair enough. But, frankly - for women, the world doesn't feel inherently safe. I've never been shouted at when out for a run, or had people making comments from a building site, or being inappropriate in the workplace - but it happens to women all the time, and that is the "easier" end of it. When you are (or feel like) prey, anyone could be a predator.

GB news this evening rapes have more than trebled since 2015. 75% of rapes are committed by British born people....they didn't describe it that way but focused on the 25%.

Truth is if you could get a 25% reduction in rapes no one would see it as a bad thing it would stull mean we had a load of wring uns still here though

Sadly, not just 'adult' daughters. It starts way before adulthood.

Don't suppose they put 2 and 2 together and thought about who came into power with a majority in 2015 or a rather large event in 2016?

GBeeBees, the only people who could put 2 and 2 together and come up with."purple".

If any country was told that rapes had more than trebled in tha last 10 years and 25% of all rapes were committed by foreigners you would expect there to be a reaction to that news.
