Does anyone know anything about the 93AB recall on the C8 Hybrid models.

It's to do with the battery and recharging. Apparent the regular 12v battery doesn't switch off at the end of charging and can go flat rendering the car completely unusable to the point of not even being able to unlock it.

I took my car in, had the upgrade done and was told
"still don't charge you vehicle. We've done the upgrade but there more needs doing, we haven't had the software from Audi yet and we don't know when, we'll be in touch"

This is my first Audi and first hybrid, I'm really not impressed. Not quite to the point of changing it after 12000 miles, but the thought has crossed my mind more than once.

Of course if you charge it and it later catches fire, it's your fault so both Audi & your insurance would wriggle.

Any suggestions or solutions?

No, but if you send me your chassis number I'll see if there's any documentation in erwin that might be useful.

Some need a check on the battery and then may require a module or two, a complete battery and others just need a software update. Some updates have been released, some are still pending. As above, a PM with your chassis and I might be able to clear things up a bit.

We've done 2 complete batteries on Q5, got an A6 awaiting a complete battery and done half a dozen that just needed an update
