Well firstly you need to choose which chassis you want to run, I recommend any of the otk family, they are branded differently but are fundamentally all the same, so tonykart, cosmic, red speed or exprit are the same, then you bolt on your rotax engine. Speak to Ollie Hancock at used kart shop, he has a website, but I’m not sure if posting links is ok for sales?
Who did you run with at camberley.

George Robinson one of the rotax sealers is local to Forest Edge / Camberley (robinsonsport ) and as mentioned here before Ollie's got a lot of used OTK stock and is in the area. Good luck and enjoy!

You also have Colin Wright in Crowthorne who does the Rotax engines. Wright Racing Engines.

I'd definitely start on an OTK, plenty of karts and plenty of spares and now is a good time as it's coming up to the end of the season and people will be selling up or changing class. My lad is moving up to Seniors in 2026 but as he also has his GCSE's we've been banned for doing a full race season by his mum.

A dealer is going to be a bit pricier than buying private but probably safer. There are a lot of sharks in this game, every chassis will have been used by only their granny and every engine will have 3 hours on it.

We are local to Camberley (Sandhurst) happy to offer any advice, not an expert but we've been through the Junior Rotax mill for 3 years now so have picked up some tips and the mistakes we've made.
