There is an original service booklet, but there are no stamps in it. All servicing and work while I have owned the car has been done by a local garage and by people who I trust. If any parts were ever needed they would always be BMW new parts.

Any idea why there’s no stamps in the book?

Thanks

I've never presented the book to be stamped. I was always happy with a receipt and the work that had been done, hence why I have had the car for 13 years . I hindsight I should of got the book stamped as it will always help with the sale of the car.

I understand that on your side. But also before you had the car, no stamps in the book either?

MOT history showed advisory for oil leak (engine I imagine) in the previous years. Has that been addressed and is the work documented?

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

As the consignor I have done some digging and found out the following from BMW UK. These are the dates it has visited the main dealers across the country. You are not able to obtain the service records, simply the dates.

- 21/07/2005 Group 1 Southend
- 25/10/2002 Cotswold Hereford
- 21/10/2002 Cotswold Hereford
- 10/04/2002 Park Royal
- 03/04/2002 Park Royal
- 06/07/2001 Park Royal
- 31/07/2000 Park Royal
- 30/03/2000 Park Royal
- 16/02/2000 Park Royal

It is possible to take or post the original service book to these dealers and ask them to put the stamp in the book.

If you have any further questions do fire away.

Warm regards,
Rob Slomczynski

If there has ever been an oil leak in the engine I have never seen it. No oil stains on my driveway or previous garage. I do however put between half to a full litre of new oil in (top up) for every 1000 miles (approximately). The only other problem area that I was made aware of by my mechanic was the rear diff sill. This was replaced immediately along with all gaskets and clamps.

Half a litre per 1000miles is normal on these engines.

Also the MOT oil leak observation can't be the engine as the undertray covers everything up. It's going to be the drippy diff (also normal) if anything and sounds like that has been addressed.

The 'no major signs of corrosion' is a bit vague.

Is that advert fluff for ' there's coroosion present but its not that major'?
