Has anyone upgraded the Bulbs in the Warning Lamp strip.

Mine like most, they are very dim, a couple of times I left the lights on as cannot see the warning lights.

Has anyone used LED's to brighten them up.

there must be a way of replacing bulbs in the coloured housings with LED's

Did a search on pistonheads and google but nothing came up.

thoughts ???

Hi. Yes, I've put coloured LEDs behind my panel. It was a pretty simple job, but I think the lights are too bright now and I might have to put a dark strip of tape across the panel.

I'll send photos later, as I'm not currently at home with the car.

I can tell you where I got the LED from too, if you want. They were only a few quid.

Ordered some coloured LEDs ..

you need -
3 red
3 green
2 yellows
1 blue

Will remove bulbs and fit LEDs in place. Fingers crossed should be a lot brighter

Alex.

Can you document the process please?

Same here too, very dim on my new Griff, I have just ordered a new walnut dash from Mads and some of the engraved buttons from Leigh so it would probably be an opportune time to upgrade the bulbs at the same time, can I ask where you sourced them from?

Thanks!
