I think it's much older than anything already suggested. Best guess is British, circa 1950. Rover P4?

Very, very early ones didn't, hence the suggestion:



The first cars had a square clock above a square temperature gauge. It's only an idea, though smile.

Water gauge is same as those used on an Austin A40 Somerset and probably loads of other cars of that era.

Oh ok, I stand corrected, it could well be a p4 then, I just thought the rust looked a bit Italian!

The very early ones- Cyclops- didnt. I think the early P4 call is a good one.

Yes , and the Smith s gauge seems to stood up far better than the rest of the dashboard. Had it been an Auntie Rover P4, it would merely be showing light rust! These were very strong; I used to pass a Rover renovation specialist in whose yard were often P4s some stripped to the chassis, but they always appeared sound(ish) because they were such heavy metal!
