Left the lights on the other nightbangheadbanghead now the battery is as dead as a dodo as you would expect

Doesn't help it being parked in the garage in a bloody carcoon !!

embarrassed to say i didnt even know these opened up :-)

Got it going........ then nearly ran out of fuel, so turned it off

My issue is the gearbox won't engage as the battery's so low ..... so I can't take it for a drive

Any help ?

Can i keep the battery on charge while the cars running ? or is that a bad idea ?

I was able to restore a properly flat battery with my normal CTEK MXS-5 trickle charger overnight - it's quite often the case (and might be with yours) that draining a battery damages it... but it didn't in my case.

Unless there's some urgent reason to take the car out in this rubbish weather, I'd leave it trickling overnight and hopefully the battery will be restored. I wouldn't charge when the engine is running - for a start, the charger will be seeing an incorrect battery charge condition.

Plug in a CTEK charger in the port in the frunk on Recon and leave for 24 hours
If that doesn’t work you’ll need a new battery
