I remember someonen telling me that you can get really cheap calls by inputing a number before the number you wish to dial.

Im sorry if i am being a bit vague, but does anyone have any advice? Im calling Germany thirty mins a day @9p a minute, hehehe

Download Skype , then buy Euro 10- worth of Skypeout credit , with Skypeout you can call from your PC to normal landlines worldwide at about 0.017 ct a minute

Use Voipbuster via your PC / laptop.

Free (0p) per min to any landline in Germany.

That's better than 9p per min.

It's great.

www.voipbuster.com Set up an account. Upload 1 Euro to it and you are away.

Adam, one of the VoIP solutions is definately the best bet.

1p a minute at the outside, get an account like Skype Out (preferably not Skype though, its going to become a marketing channel for eBay) and you can call normal telephones from your PC.

Get a bluetooth dongle for the PC and you can use a bluetooth headset which is handy as a Class 1 (or 3 can never remember) means you can be anywhere in the house pretty much.

Yes. Not for free, but for much much cheaper.

It's the way to go.

Not entirely true... only that price to certain countries - not all. Even then you can get calling cards with even cheaper rates.

Sorry guys, just one more question.

I am still a little skeptical. If i make use of this free service, i am worried that i wont get charged but somehow they will charge my GF in germany, does this happen or am i being a bit silly?

thanks,
