What are the chances of placing an order with an OPC with no recent history of purchases with them? Is it even possible with a long wait time?

Tried this v recently and was told no allocations available for the Touring at least …didn’t ask about a standard GT3 …I’ve just put a deposit down on a 3yo manual car now so all good.

I was politely told where to shove it even as an owner which left a bitter taste

You’d have to really want the back seats, or have a particularly snazzy spec in mind I think to make it worth it. I foresee a few potential niggles from all of the new emissions tech on board, so you’d want to be sure it’s a keeper.

Zero chance.

Even with reasonable history with OPC winged GT3 still a no, let alone Touring.

Everything else they’ll roll out the red carpet (by Porsche standards).

Maybe now for winged cars as allocations running out,but I know someone who managed to order one a few weeks ago with no buying history whatsoever .

Winged definitely available. Offered 2 slots from separate OPC s without more than 1 previous used car from each.
For me, with the necessary ticks ticked, too close to RS territory
Possibility of GT3 order can’t be down to ‘who you are’ .. Believe me, I’m nobody!!

So did you order one or no?

Many of these “I was given multiple allocations” typically end up nowhere.

Alternatively, I’d love to hear how you managed it as I’d love to put in my GT3 spec and actually be able to buy it

I was initially offered a cancelled RS order in June/July but timing was poor re my then circumstances

Some 8 weeks later I was in a comfier position but that opportunity had passed so I again looked into a possible late cancelled order with various dealers. Nothing materialised but was offered GT3 order twice or even three times I think..

I was offered a winged allocation having bought one AUC from the dealership. I asked them to see if the allocation could be switched to a Touring - answer came back as a no, so I passed on the opportunity. As someone has already said, by the time you add a decent spec you’re nudging RS money but more importantly buying something you don’t ideally want. There will be more Touring allocations in 2026, but with the demand as it is unlikely to get any easier to obtain.

What are the finance packages like if that s not a PH pauper question?
From Porsche? You can take a look at the examples on the website for the other 991 models. Short answer is pretty miserable, better rates available elsewhere.

I was offered a choice of two 2025 slots for winged cars back in May/June from an OPC with whom I have no buying history. At the time they came with conditions I found unpalatable (had to be financed, PPF'd and buy a bike or watch), so I passed. How did I "manage" it - no special skills, just politeness, no BS, and it being clear from the f2f chat and subsequent comms that I was a serious customer. In the end I bought a SRS from another dealer.

Unless our circles overlap, also have a mate who encountered the same for a T and put in an order.

They're out there. Finding that the PRG centres have reached out to existing clients offering them allocations and may not follow up until a month or so before the freeze - if customers go quiet on them, they consider 'reallocating'. Non-PRG centres are still playing customers off one another.

I floated the idea and was told I'd be lucky - and that's having spent just under £800k in 3ish years with them. I only wanted a Touring if it was to be a GT3.

Didn't pursue it in the end as I changed by mind and type of car I wanted. That's me thinking I had a decent relationship with them and having been offered a GT4 RS when it came out.
