Quick Chimaera brakes question

Need to replace front brake hoses on the Chim so thought I'd do calipers too. Caliper end of new brake hoses have female cone. Ports in replacement calipers also have female cone. Don't think lesbian brakes is going to work, so does anybody know what they're supposed to be? Hose came from Motaclan, who swear they're right, while new calipers seem to match old ones on looks and key dimensions.
