Watched a few episodes last night, didn't laugh once. Not a patch on the old Peep show era and that mitchell and webb look.

Pretty poor isn't it.

Not a patch on their early work, but in'm not sure if their comedy is the same as it always was, but humour has moved on since all those years ago, or if it's simply just not funny. Does have one of my favourite Twitter comedians on though, Josh Pugh which might explain why he's disappeared of late.

Airport security staff was mildly amusing.

Only got to the ad break. Very poor.

Does re-booted comedy ever work? Thought Alan Partridge was genius but only ever saw trailers for the new stuff before deciding it wasn't worth my time. Same for Mitchell and Webb I'm afraid.

I quite enjoyed it. Similar humour to the old sketch series I thought. I’ll watch again. Could be worse, I see Smack the Pony is coming back. That was never good in the first place.

I suggest you watch This Time, I think it’s close to I’m Alan Partridge series 1.

Yeah, it's no longer allowed!

Didn't know there was new stuff out but their really old M&W Look show was brilliant.

Have to agree. A lot of classic partridge.

“Do you know what it says on the side of my car?”

“Tosser?”

hehe

Sorry but the i’m AP series were fking gold and frequently drop in to watch the odd scene on YouTube.

And to think the character was only really developed to be a hopeless sports reporter for a spoof radio show on radio four.

The best bit was the shrink, about spot on to the point it wasn't really comedy but real life. I remember my first shrink and he just sat there said nothing in a posh room with legs crossed, i was in a depressive mode so i too just sat there, that was about 1 hour.
The next week i was 2 days into a mania and i had been a naughty boy in many ways....... couldn't stop talking about myself as again he sat there doing very little...... offered no real advice, no help, just more obsessed with my Art than i am and suggested to me that i should get a large piece of rubber and use a knife to stab it repeatedly when i was angry.

Waste of time, he seemed genuinely confused as to why i was a depressive and a manic like manic depression hasn't been around since the Greeks.
He was expensive as well, tried another one which was a woman and it was at her home, i was talking about my last suicide attempt and my issue with sleeping around and i heard a noise and asked what was that and she said it was probably her son getting some food from the kitchen.......FFS! He's listening to us!!!

Going back 30 years ago or so, I saw a couple of psychotherapists after a particularly bad divorce, both female, ended up with sleeping with both of them. Not at the same time I hasten to add, now THAT would be weird!

I like everything AP has done, except his Stratagem live tour that was completely awful.

Seconded. Strategem was dire.

The new MW is dire too, but, exactly as I thought it would be: a bit nazelgavey, dry and public schoolboy. Worth watching each episode, ONCE, and then never thinking of again.

Certainly no Digby Chicken Caeser.

I thought it was pretty good. Simple sketch comedy with some smarts.

Do the people comparing it to Peep Show realise they didn't write that?
