Working on the next part of frame modifications and plan on making a roll bar for a 280i. Would anyone have pictures of attachment points for their roll bar?? I've been able to find a few finished pictures but none of the actual frame attachments.
Also, I can't find the search tab.... maybe my mobile phone isn't allowing it??

Mine drops down on the main verticals and goes through the floor and is bolted to the chassis. The two rear inclined tubes go through the boot and bolt to the two top suspension mounts and I've a centre bar that also goes through the body and bolts to the chassis. The car had a body off rebuild over 25 years ago, so chassis had additional plates added to take the roll bar. Where the bar passes through the rear deck it has been fibreglass in, so bit of a problem in the future if the body needs removing.

There are pictures of a roll bar fixing in Steve Heath's Bible. This method used U clamps as the chassis wasn't being refurbed / author didn't want to weld the chassis.

Thanks for the replies
Yes, that's one of the sites that I have been using for reference
I get the concept of the rear mounts at the upper side of the shock mount
This also has a support spot for the body
The upper mount for the diff carrier is right there as well
My concern is loosing the body support brace
