Focus MK 3 boot switch and light replacement

Hi guys,

I’m looking to replace my reg light but need a whole boot switch to go with it (thanks for making this easy Ford)

I’m wondering if anyone knows of an LED light version or if there is a way to replace the bulb inside the part and make sure it still works.

I dismantled the boot this evening and managed to take a look at the part but I don’t think there is an alternative option to change the bulb other than replacing the whole thing.

In this model, the entire unit needs to be replaced; the bulb cannot be changed separately. There are no original LED versions, but you can look for aftermarket alternatives by part number or you can find it on globy.com. Focus Trunk Release Button (BM5119B514AE) or Tailgate Boot Release Switch ,marked BM51-19B514-AE.
