we've had threads before where there have been some hugely pricey objects for sale - however, in a lot of cases you could actually see the point of them or appreciate them (I'm thinking in this particular case about a capstan table), but then you get things that are totally loopy. Which is what I stumbled across earlier, feast your eyes...

How much is one that's horizontal?

The top end mattresses in John Lewis always raise an eyebrow.

£15,000 for a large Emperor size, or £12500 for a plebeian double laugh

Oh my I just saw the post above. Nearly £30k for a mattress and duvet.

How much for sheets and pillows laugh

I should hope it comes with someone to tuck you each night.

Less than half a day's wages to a footballer/CEO/other ridiculously paid job so equivalent to a couple of hundred quid for a normal person.

I can see why there's a market.

Less than the lease on a decent BMW and you're spending more time in it.

I did wonder if the tucking up person would be doing the tucking from within the bed.

Even so, it would be quite expensive for the mileage.

This is an interesting one for me you know, I can see much more value in that £12k duvet than I can a £49k 320D.

When i was starting my motorbike journey, the bike i wanted after i passed my test - Yamaha RD350LC - was the princely sum of £1800 new. I saw one a few weeks back for sale for £5000.

Er no

Ford Capri 280 Brooklands, seen one of those for sale for £40,000

fk off

Fender John Frusciante* tribute Stratocaster - sold for nigh on £20,000

Now you're being silly.
