New door mirror glass
Discussion
My passenger mirror glass was starting to lose its silver. It's not difficult to get it off once you know there's a small catch to slide across, accessible after motoring the glass upwards. Circled in blue is where I tried some silver paint, it actually made it look worse! In red, is how it was starting to look along the edges.

Without paying the TVR tax from a certain supplier,
I bought a replacement off eBay. The supplier did actually list them as for a TVR, as well as the Citroen CX (and yes, also used by Lotus, etc, etc). It came with a replacement heater mat where the spade terminals would actually connect direct to the car wiring, there was just about enough slack, so I didn't need to de-solder and reuse the extension wires.

The heated mat was double sided sticky so the mounting ring could go straight onto it:

Dodging the heavy showers, the whole job took about an hour. Peeling the old sticky pad off the mounting ring took a while. Getting it to locate back on the ring in the mirror body was the hardest bit. Total cost? £10.52.
Glass with a wider field on the edge was also available for only about £1 more, but I just went like for like. It is listed as flat but is actually very slightly concave (or convex?), like the original.

I did the same when my LHS glass fell off.... Got a replacement from Ebay. First kit had something missing (can't remember what now), and the guy who sold the kit sent a replacement out that arrived the next day! Top service. Replacement was super straightforward, and the mirror is now rock steady.
Which is more than can be said for the RHS mirror glass!
