Glass shift buttons ‘06 Aston Martin DB9
Discussion
I own a ‘06 Aston Martin DB9 since ‘06 and recently purchased glass shift buttons from Scuderia after they checked compatibility with my serial number. When I installed them and went to start the vehicle everything went dark even though was told “plug n play”, I cleared codes with my Foxwell NT510 scanner and everything came back to life including the red start button but no longer went to white while running. After a 20 minute pleasure cruise I parked it for the night, the next morning I came out and back to all dark (including red start button). The nearest dealer is several hours away from me but have a local exotic car specialist near me who claims to have a scanner that covers Aston Martin. If indeed he has a compatible tool would he be able to reprogram car codes to accept those glass knobs? I reinstalled the original plastic buttons and cleared codes again with Foxwell NT510 and the red start light came back on but no white when running, did I burn out the light in the start button?
Thank you for your advice

Thank you for the reply, that is what I thought when I installed them, for whatever reason they must not be compatible. The start button did glow white after starting while running
The wiring is identical, I produce full sets of glass buttons for early DB9s and I have taken them apart hundreds of times, the electrical partof the switch is interchangeable between the plastic buttons and the glass (except for the shape of the connector) (and the DSC button)The start button is obviously glass already.
The illumination for the gear selector buttons is on the dashboard illumination circuit whilst the illumination for the start button is on the interior lights circuit.
