It's been years (must be at least 20) since I last saw one of these;

P.S. I realise that redacting the names probably doesn't matter....

For an ageing widow with less than 30 days to live, she writes very well (even if the grammar is Americanised). wink

Hi,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Mrs. <redacted>, and I
am an aging widow currently undergoing treatment for a prolonged illness
at a private hospital on Fulham Road, West London.

I wish to bring to your attention that I have inherited a sum of
$7,835,000.00 (Seven Million, Eight Hundred and Thirty-Five Thousand U.S.
Dollars) from my late husband, Mr. <redacted>. These funds were
deposited in a reputable finance house here in London. Given my current
health condition, my doctors have informed me that I have less than 30
days to live, therefore I am seeking a trustworthy individual who can
oversee and manage this fund for humanitarian purposes, specifically to
assist orphans and those in need.

I found your email address on the internet and decided to contact you
personally to manage this fund for humanitarian aid on my behalf as I
believe you possess the integrity and dedication required to ensure these
funds are utilized for a meaningful cause. If you are willing to assist in
this endeavor, please contact me at your earliest convenience so that I
can provide you with further details on how the funds can be transferred
to you , as advised by the holding bank.

I sincerely appreciate your time and consideration, and I look forward to
your response.

Best regards,
Mrs. <redacted>

Both The Chelsea and Westminster and The Marsden are on Fulham Road I think. I'm not sure I can be faffed to make TWO phone calls to track her down for only £7.5 million....

I had one recently which had evolved the concept and seemed to be aimed at people who have already responded to one of these and have been sending cash.

The jist of it was that they were aware of the issues I was having getting the money released despite all the payments I'd made but they would definitely sort it out for me because the people I'd been dealing with thus far were known to be dishonest and disreputable but these guy would get the money transferred ASAP.

Reply to her, tell you are on holiday for 4 weeks and can it wait until you get back. (joke, don't reply)

There must be a whole new audience for these, those people born in the last 20 years who have never seen one of these.

Look I'm not going to keep asking you. Either you want the money or I'll give it to cats.
