Currently looking at a 320 for a daily, I know there is a new generation in the horizon but do you still think they are a good buy a year or two old at circa 30k for a good example?

They're OK, nothing remarkable tbh, but I would never pay £30K for a 320.

Anything post 2020 when the covid greed pricing kicked in is a massive rip off. You'd get more value from an older one of a higher spec tbh.

At £20k it’s a good car for the price point. At £30k it’s much of the same just a bit newer lci

I’m with you on this , the LCi seems more cosmetic than major under the hood changes. Plus there is the road Tao premium on too that’s a consideration

I have 2014 3 series touring and I am thinking of one in touring,
20/22 plate, needs to be m sport too for me.
Not had a test drive yet,
I feel it’s a big upgrade from what I have.

I think it’s future values that are making me a bit hesitant. There is a new 3 on the way.

I’ve just bought a year old 320i, I think I paid over the odds for it at £35k but it’s got ever option ticked which is what I wanted. I wanted one with adaptive cruise, they seem to be quite rare. I had a 2021 Q5 previously which I really liked but the 320 is so much nicer to drive and the idrive is a lot better.

I’ve not had a car with a sunroof for over 20 years, I’m using that more than what I thought I would! Overall I’m very pleased with the car.

Thanks Rammy, been to look at one today that had loads of options, sadly no adaptive suspension. That said it’s a great place a to sit.

Happy motoring.

It’s crazy that adaptive cruise isn’t a standard fit to these cars. Even on the M340i they aren’t a commonly found extra. I wouldn’t have a car without it now.
