range rover sport sdv6
Discussion
Hi
I've just been for a test drive in a range rover sport 3.0 diesel.
After the drive i turned of the engine and lifted the bonnet.
When i removed the oil filler cap an reasonable amount of wispy smoke came out.
Is this normal when the engine isn't even running ? i didn't try with it running.
Any help please.
Thanks

Thanks for that, I have now driven another and it did the exact same thing.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've gone for a 2014 3.0 sdv6 HSE dynamic with 65000 miles full service history and all the front suspension arms done.
Everything seems to work and drives well
Stick a war chest away for the inevitable crank snapping and enjoy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've gone for a 2014 3.0 sdv6 HSE dynamic with 65000 miles full service history and all the front suspension arms done.

Apparently it’s only 2% of engines that suffer the crankshaft failure.

You need that level of excitement in your life.
The will it/wont it is a great game.
Until it does it and you need to pay for a new engine.
