Germany.
Next week it's Austria and Czechia.

Where have you been? What's the longest road trip you've taken a 6 or a 12 on?
I'm using Trire as a base. I might pop to France tomorrow.

Next year I might visit the ring on the way back.
Has anyone done the ring in an old Jag?

Ah sadly not an E-type I prefer the 6 if I'm honest with that although I know a 12 and my word, it has a 'free' exhaust!

I'm in an XJ. The boots full.

Ace. Certainly more comfortable. What's the reaction to your classic by Europeans?

I suspect he isn't, it's that bad. biggrin

Back in the early 90s, one of my student friends thought it would be an idea to swan around in a V12 XJS while at uni. He got rid quite quickly when he realised how poor the MPG was.

I did 150,000 miles in 2 years in an X305 XJ12 in the early 00s. Averaged 18mpg I think, proper calculations not the OBC. Fabulous cars, absolutely flawless in that time as was the 4.0 Sovereign that replaced it (until I wrapped it around a post).

My XJR-S averaged 13mpg though. Crap 3 speed auto and weirdy beardy Zytec engine management system vs a 4 speed and a proper Denso system though. Also might have driven then R-S a bit harder hehe

I'm currently able to squeeze about 220 miles out of my 12, did manage to empty both tanks in about 17 minutes once, did about 40 miles.....

Ah, I was going to put a third option of an autobahn blast.
