Bought today to power eufy doorbell. No Instructions came with it and I don't know which is positive or negative on the 240v. No markings. Does it not matter? Thanks in advance.

No. Ac is ac. The transformer does not care what way its connected on the 240 side

It doesn't matter, it's supplying AC power. Presumably that's what the Eufy requires?

And the low voltage is 24 and 0? The power input according to eufy is 16 -24v. Bit confused as the doorbell charges on usb fine but one connected to 0 and 24 won't charge.

I had the same problem with my nest doorbell. I had the exact transormer as you. I went to a A9A15214. Which works a treat. Its 3 modules wide though.

What does the Eufy device require? Is there a data label or a specification in the instructions?

Have you got a separate chime fitted? Quick google suggests you need to fit a resistor if you haven’t got one

0-8 = 8v
0-24= 24 v
The 0 is there as there are tap offs for different voltages, one end of the transformer winding is 0, as the coil increases the voltage goes up

Hmmm those transformers - there's more than meets the eye.

I think the transformer you have selected is 8VA
As far as I can tell the Eufy requirement is 16V @ 800mA or 24V @ 500mA which approximates to 13VA.

So, the transformer isn't powerful enough.

(Just for reference, you could pick the 8V and 24V taps and get 16Vac)

Just as a friendly warning, if you have to ask the question about polarity, I am not sure it is wise to be using a DIN rail mounted transformer.
It obviously needs to go in a DIN enclosure, and I assume the plan is to put it in the consumer unit along with a MCB?

Not necessarily:

Well, obviously you can buy a DIN enclosure, but you may as well just buy a plug top PSU for the Eufy which doesn't need one. Nor would there be any possible issues in wiring it up.
