Welcome back after the summer break, and we’re in Zandvoort for the Max Verstappen Show. Lando won here last year with maybe his best weekend of the season, and there’s no reason to think McLaren won’t dominate the weekend as the MCL20 loves medium speed corners like no other car.

Hamilton is coming off two disastrous races, and needs a good weekend or three. Mercedes could be a factor here if it’s cool. Pirelli tyres are a step harder than last year but I can’t see that making much difference.

Here’s to a great race. Lando is my tip for the win to make it three on the bounce.

Date(s): Friday 29 August to Sunday 31 August 2025.

UK Broadcast Timings (and track time)

All sessions are live on Sky F1. Channel 4 is showing highlights of all competitive sessions.

Russell… just have a feeling he’ll benefit from shenanigans elsewhere. Great circuit (if not ideal for the size of modern F1). Was there recently watching club racing including historic Brit mini. Was fascinating watching the build for the GP

Back to our normal programming. Thanks PiaP! Not the greatest circuit for F1 Landcruisers, but at least it's not an oval!

Thanks PiaP smile

Well, it is show time again! Wonder if the Ferrari implosion will continue or the holiday break has come just in time. So Charles to win (feeling giddy today).

After all the noise.....Horner who?

I expect the McLarens to saunter off up the road, Russel in P3, then the Ferraris and Max and Kimi scrapping for 4th

Gone for Norris to keep the fight topping and tailing!

Sure there will be some serious elbows from Max here to put on a show.

Lewis to sink lower, imo

Thanks PiaP. I've voted for Max, I think the Orange Army will give him a leg-up smile I have a feeling that George will go well here too.

Well as we know he would win in a Williams so he is still winning every race even without a 1 second a lap pace advantage (which he never had of course).............

Delighted to see F1 (and these threads) back. I think this is Piastri's and he'll saunter to the end of the championship without much trouble now.

If you haven't been following, he's won 7 world driver titles, most would say 8, and some say 9. Have you been away? biggrin

I think the question might be 'what has Lewis been up to during the summer break'. smile;)

You poor boy, you have my sympathy. I, on the other hand, had to endure the indignity of a weekend away with the in-laws, arranged specifically because there was no GP.

Sneaky bath plugs. frown

What a race! The atmosphere at Zandvoort never disappoints. That final stint strategy was wild—still buzzing from it. Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the pit calls and that late safety car.

Thanks again PiaP. Excellent kickoff to the next race as always

Hoping Oscar will prevail. I think the break has probably done him some good, if he can’t win this I think he’ll struggle to walk away with the championship and it will go right down to the wire. If he wins this, I think he’s going to sail on and comfortably win it.

It will be interesting to see how Ferrari fare for the rest of the season, I hope Lewis and Charles can bring in some strong results, it would be nice to see Lewis take a win at some point (I doubt it will be this race).
