Ive had 3 experiences all in dodgy places mind you. One resulted in a keying, the next a nice note on the windscreen and the third a couple of screws in the tyres.

Suffice it to say i dont park there much if i can avoid it. Whilst driving everyone is really nice.

The only negative reaction I had to a Corvette was back in 1994 when I had the C4 and was parked in a local pub in Cowboytown. I had the targa off and a bottle sailed through the air and bounced off the top of the screen, inches from my head, emanating from a group of about 8 local youths with a combined IQ of 7.

However, this may have been not only the Corvette but the fact that I was going out with one of the local girls to whom they no doubt aspired. I was the interloper from out of town messin' with their women. LOL.

Overall I get a prettyy positive reaction.

About the worst I've had is someone on a bike yelling 'get a real car'.

I parked on him...

Can't say I've really experienced this. Maybe people are more friendly towards older cars. Did have a pedestrian shout "twats" once when there were 3 of us out together. I wanted to stop and get out for a "chat" but the wife said NO. And like any husband, I obeyed. Maybe next time he'll do it when I'm alone.

I dont think its a personal thing i just think there are some people that are total sad Bs eg ; ime driving someone in my cab and we see a 'Flash'car broken down the passenger in my cab might say something like "Serves them right for having a Flash motor" ,when i turn round and point out that person might of earned the right to have a nice car they answer with a "spose so"......D'oh!

Only once in nearly 4 years now, and that was by a woman who decided to see how much she could get in my way at a petrol station rather than any verbal or hand signal method !

Now, let's all be honest ! They're all jealous - simple as that. What I do is just smile, give them a wink and blow a kiss. Either that pisses them off or, in the case of the men, they turn away pronto

I think only once in about 5 years of owning a Vette.

In a petrol station and a mention of the length of my private parts.

I think the response was your missus did not complain.

well im not sure what it is, i doubt its the area there quite a few flash cars local to me, but i suppose it really comes down to jealousy, also i havent ever seen another C4 in my area since i bought mine, seen 3 C5s and 2 C3s but no C4s.

mate of mine had an egg thrown on his car, the stain was so bad it never came off he had to get the car painted in the end

Some in Blasingsmoke threw an egg at Velveteen.....it took a lot of polishing to get the stain off the clearcoat

My C4 was egged on Halloween night when a load of youths were congregating in the road on the exit to a roundabout. OK, I was exercising my "right of way" which made a few jump but the eggshell created a sort of peppered ring (ooh-er) of chips where it struck. I was tempted to go back and drive over them but you know...grown up decisions and everything.

Eggs & chips? Now I'm getting hungry. This tends to point to people going out at night with eggs about their person. Curious.
I've only had one negative reaction to the Vette in 5 years of owning it. Some kid shouted "Plastic Crap" out of his car window. I couldn't help laughing, the car he was driving looked like it had just been pulled out of a crusher! Looking back, I should have egged him
