Was the squeaky clutch investigated at the last service and what is the condition of the discs and pads? Was there a vehicle health check form the service that could be uploaded?
Does the car have its original battery charger and cover?
Many thanks

Good afternoon and thank you for your enquiry.

These early V12 Vantages had a very slight issue with a clutch squeak when cold. I believe that owners could request that this was sorted at their main dealers within the warranty period, whereby a slightly upgraded clutch was fitted.

For whatever reason, the clutch on my car was not done and when I bought it, the warranty period had expired.

Having said that, the clutch performs exactly as it should and the squeak soon disappears once the engine and gearbox warm up. Very often I find that the squeak doesn’t occur at all, even when cold, but I thought I’d mention it in the description out of fairness.
Bamford Rose did a full health check and mentioned the squeak, but confirmed that there was no issue with clutch wear or function.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Mark.

Please would it be possible to answer the other questions about the condition of the pads and discs and the availability of a vehicle health check from the recent service.
All the best

Good morning,
I do apologise, for not fully answering your questions.
I will endeavour to upload the health checks on her for you.
I do have the cover and a battery charger, together with a set of jacking pads and the original front number plate plinth, but these weren’t necessarily part of the sale.(however I’m happy to negotiate if needs be as much depends on the auction result!)
Just to let you know, I’m only sadly selling my car as a result of a medical condition, otherwise it was set to be my one and only ‘keeper!’ (I think the knowing the reason for sale is useful.)
Any, I hope this all helps.
Regards.

Very sorry to hear it is a reluctant sale. Thank you for uploading the health checks. One follow up question is the Dec 23 report mentions corrosion around the driver's side door handle. Are you able to clarify what they were referring to or upload a photo if there is anything to be seen?
All the best

That’s a bit mystifying. There is absolutely nothing that I can see. It’s pouring with rain so I can’t take the car outside, but here’s pics from inside the garage.

The tyres on the BR report are dated as 2015/16. Has the car had new tyres fitted since or is it still running the same?

Hi in the images it looks like the right hand side skirt carbon is chipped or damaged in a few places, is that correct or just a reflection on the photo. Thanks

Hi,
Yes, all tyres were renewed at the latest MOT in April this year after the examiner spotted a small blister on the inside of one of the rears.
So all 4 tyres were replaced and have only done a few hundred miles since the MOT.

On the most recent service invoice it states that the car was checked for a coolant loss. I note that no issue was found at the time of testing, but how did this show up in the car and is it a recurring issue? Did the low coolant warning light come on and how much coolant has needed to be added?

No, this was my bad. I checked the coolant level and thought that it should be brim full in the expansion tank, but instead it was just below the neck, so when it went for service, I asked for it to be checked. It turned out that the level was exactly where it should be and there were no leaks etc. At no point did the temperature light come on!
(In hindsight, I now wish I’d never mentioned it to the mechanic who would’ve checked the level during service anyway and then it wouldn’t have been recorded on the forms)
It was just me being over cautious with my pride and joy!!
