Hi all, despite my username, I've had a Tesla Model S P100D for the past 8 years and although I loved the MS, I have lost love with the brand and since the influx of Model 3's, it just didn't feel special anymore (in 2017 they were an exclusive brand with only a few cars on the road, now they're like a Ford!).

So.....having loved my 996's in the past, I decided to get a Taycan CT 4S and I picked it up last weekend. Love the car (albeit the ride is a lot harder than the Tesla) but have some questions.

- It looks like I need to pay £23 a month, just to have the app tell me what the state of charge, etc is? What else do I get for that? Seems expensive when the Tesla was free and seemingly had a lot more functionality than the Porsche one? Or am I missing something?

- How do I set the charge limit to 80%? Nothing seems obvious to be able to do this?

- Is it possible to access the cameras? i.e. like a dashcam if I plug in a USB stick anywhere? Or via the app?

- Was traffic aware cruise control an option? I seem to have bought a car with almost every option ticked, but cannot for the life of me work out how to have anything but standard cruise control.

- When I registered the app, there's a notice about a recall (ARB6). I'm booked into the Porsche dealership on Friday, does anyone know what the issue is?

Thanks for any advice.

You might try Google wink

App is free for basic remote services like SOC.

Charging limit: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/how-to-s...

Recall is to do with the main battery: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/arb6-rec...

Active cruise is either "Adaptive Cruise" or "Innodrive". Innodrive uses SatNav to help control speed pre-emptively ... you can tell if you either as there is a radar under front bumper and the cruise control stalk has an additional distance setting.

That’s really strange. My old 4SCT on 21 inch wheels ride was like a Rolls Royce; unbelievably compliant.
I’d check that the dealer hasn’t set the car to be in permanently lowered height when in default mode as this really impacts the ride quality. Even if dampers set to custom, the independent ride height hugely impacts comfort when in lowest range mode.
