I have an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean. 2018 model

On Saturday, I was out in town and it just stopped. I shook it and it started again, but only for a few seconds before stopping again.

It's as if it's been unworn for a few days and the automatic mechanism has stopped but, instead of re-starting with the motion of wearing it, it just stops again.

So, a repair is required. This is a bit annoying to be frank as it's the second time this has happened, the first being in 2021 (when it was fixed under warranty, they never told me what was wrong with it)

Now it's out of warranty, any recommendations on repair?

I've used Watch Doctors in Tring before, who are relatively local so I wouldn't have to post it. What kind of warranty do they give on a repair, does anyone know?

What about an Omega centre? I've heard their warranty is two years, which seems appealing given that this appears to be a repeat offence.

I'm in the Beds/Northants/North Bucks area

At least it'll give me an excuse to look for something new in addition..... hehe

Tring is definitely your best bet - I am not sure on warranty, but it will be at least a year.

I have the same watch as it happens and it also stopped working within a few months of buying it (new) from an Omega boutique in London - they had it repaired very quickly.. under 2 weeks if memory serves. But that's not typical of them, another Omega took over a year to repair.

Definitely go to Tring, they're excellent for Omega.
