Mini Cooper S F56 Headlight Upgrade

Hello all. I have a 2014 F56 Mini Cooper S with halogen headlights and halogen combined DRL/fogs below. I’d like to upgrade them all to LED. Has anyone experience of doing this update and can recommend suitable light units that are ‘plug and play’ units that can be fitted without the need to get involved with coding them to the car and such.
This is a Uk spec car btw in case that makes any difference to the lighting options.

Yes have performed conversion before a couple of times and honestly the easiest route is to get some Chinese copy headlights off of Alibaba or such that are plug and play, if you wanted to use OE parts then you'll need to change the coding like you said but also wire in either a headlight leveling sensor or an additonal one if your vehicle already has one as I recall early cars having 2 for LED lights. Can't recall if the connectors and wiring are same currently, last one was a while ago when doing the LCI2 testing.

Thanks for your info Test Driver. I’d seen those cheaper ones online at Ali Express and wondered how they be for an MOT pass with beam pattern etc. Also reliability and how long they’d last. Also seen Vland units too which do seem to get a decent write up. Any experience of the cheaper online end?

Other than the feedback I've seen on forums, I haven't heard of any horror stories... yet. Everyone thats fit retro fit parts all seem quite happy with them and in fairness Chinese parts quality is leaps and bounds from where it used to be.

Thanks for the advice. Aftermarket is the way to go. A bit more research needed I think into it before deciding which to go for but will get it sorted out before the winter gets in. Thanks again
