I am considering buying the exact car & model I already have, but the advertised one is half the mileage boxedin

I really like it (gen 2 Mini Cooper) and know all about them (mechanically) so I’m thinking about doing it! It has a couple of additional options which are nice to have but essentially it’s the same. Mine is getting on a bit mileage wise. I haven’t gone to look at it yet (to check condition in real life) but I might.. spin

Going for a third here

IMO the car works for you and the colour/spec is an upgrade why not?

Indeed. I'm on my second Accord Type R as I never really felt I had finished with my first one. Life/lack of funds got in the way.
Now had this one for 8 yrs and no plans to sell, yet.

Yes. Bought Boxster S 986, lovely example. Written off in a non-fault incident after about 6 months. Eventually, bought another. Engine failed. frown

lol

I was reading your thread earlier checking out the wheels and tyres you fitted. I then went off to look up Oz wheels and their fitment options…

Five of sorts First Rover 75 2.5 auto, second MGZT CDTi manual, third and still with me MGZT V8 S/C, fourth Rover 75 CDTi manual, fifth Rover 75 CDTi manual. An addition of sorts may soon be on the cards, I would consider another either MG or 75 in estate mode. On my fourth Fiesta also, we all have our crosses to bear!

Yes. MKlll Zephyr. Great car, but miles on first one were getting up so sold it for something smaller. A couple of years later, traded small car for another MKlll. Unfortunately the second MKlll wasn't a patch on the first one (must have been built on a Friday).

I had a 2003 MR2 roadster that got written off by a modern mini doing 60 into a stationary car. Within a week I had bought another one but this time in a better colour

Two Mk1 Kas. First one was my first ever new car back in 2004. Regretted trading it in for a Fiesta after 3 years and 60k so I very recently couldn't refuse the offer of getting a 2005 one in the exact same spec when a friend's relative gave up driving. The 2005 one has only 16k on the clock and has been festidiously looked after, every bill and MOT is present and it was fully under sealed when a year old so is minty on that front too. Haven't collected it yet as it's 200 miles away and the MOT ran out 3 weeks ago but I have driven it and it's like new. It's never left its home town so have arranged for a local garage to check it over in September before I drive it back with a fresh MOT, mainly to make sure it's not shocked by going further than 10 miles in one go! A proper bargain for £400.

I'm also on my second 1980's Mini 1000 City E! Both started out the same but the second one has a few mods, done by previous owners to varying levels of competency.

I always said I’d never buy another of the same car as life’s too short, but I’m very tempted by another Mini convertible (albeing a JCW instead of Cooper S).

Two Yetis. At the time the place I worked did a car allowance, but with the condition that it had to be under 4 years old.

The second one was a different colour.

Picanto GT Line S (the 1 litre turbo version).

I bought a pre-reg in 2019, sold it in 2021.

I bought a used 2021 model in 2023.

Same colour.

Insurance replaced my stolen sapphire cosworth with another one, which was then stolen

I bought 3 new Celica ST205 GT4s as I was doing 30k miles a year so changed them frequently

The engine on my RS3 lunched itself at 4k miles so Audi replaced it with a new RS3
