VXR8 roof lining
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this has been talked about yet, or indeed happened to anyone else.
The lining on our VXR8 has detatched itself from the roof. It looks like the foam backing has perished. I initially tried temporary fixes but to no avail.
I've contacted an auto upholstere. He's saying the board that the material is attatched to needs come out of the car, which is apparently a nightmare.
Has this happened to anyone else's HSV and if so what did you do?
TIA

Yeah had started to happen in mine VERY slightly so I put the feelers out to see what people were saying and almost everyone said slight fixes never cut it.
Like with trying to get to the antenna on the roof (ugh) it's a bit of a job with all of it needing to come out.
As they've said to you its got some cardboard(ish) support in it which if you break is apparently a MASSIVE pain in the backside to source. So you'll either want some pros, or at least a couple of you to hold and maneuver.
