Been a while since I’ve purchased a Porsche but have found a 718 Spyder RS I like the look of from a main dealer.

What’s the playbook for a used approved negotiation these days on these cars? Ie expect no monetary discount but get servicing in first year thrown in and some ceramic coating etc? Carbon pen set to wrap it up?!

Thanks

Settle for nothing less than a Porsche branded pedal cycle.

Play them at their own game smile

Ha! So take it it’s a case of getting merch thrown in but don’t expect much else

I’d be trying much harder in the current climate. I’m not saying you’ll get masses off, but the days of “the price is the price” are long gone.

Also, look at how many SRSs are for sale (loads), how long they’ve had some of them in stock (quite a while) and how many price reductions they’ve had (via the auto trader add-on, some have had quite a few). It’s a very different market to a couple of years ago.

I have a 718 Spyder and am thinking about a SRS. I’d be looking to drive a very hard bargain and prepared to walk away often. I’d also be enjoying it after the shenanigans from OPCs over the last 5+ years which many of us, me included, have experienced. The boot is very much now on the other foot.

There are also a few SRS for sale privately and quite a few at independents. These are often priced more competitively. Given its unusual for such a new car to be outside the OPC network, this suggests to me that the owners were offered unattractive terms by OPCs. I think I’ve read on here that OPCs are making low ball offers and/or SoR only, ie they don’t want lots of SRS in stock.

Finally, we are approaching the end of the warm season. Deals to be done in December I expect.

Just my 2p, but something I’ve been pondering a bit recently.
