If I remember rightly a cast member is one of her oldest pals. Plus she likes the show.

Never seen it myself.

I was in Port Isaac once and wondered why there were so many people wandering around at a fairly dead time of year.

Then someone emerged from a door and there was a cheer from a gaggle of bystanders. Must've been one of the stars.

What Bloomen said…

I have a good friend who works in TV and worked on a number of seasons of Doc. Martin over the years. We used to combine our South West holidays around Port Issac when they were filming and visit our friend on-set etc.

Sigourney Weaver is best friends with the actress who plays the Pharmacist (with the neck brace) and has been since the mid-seventies when they met each other in a thespian pub in the West End after their respective shows one night.

I think it should happen more often.

I'd like to see someone like Daniel Day Lewis or Jodie Foster in Mrs Brown's Boys or Hollyoaks.

I’m sure I spotted Peter Blake (the Pop Artist) in an episode of Hollyoaks!
