Appreciate this has been discussed lots but just trying to figure out what current lay of the land is.
When buying new, PCP deals seem to get a much better discount. Is it still possible to take out PCP deal and then pay off finance immediately (within first month) and still retain discounts or other ‘incentives’ provided with car purchase.
I remember this being a ‘common’ thing to do but just wondered if it was still possible?
Thanks in advance

I done it in recently got the car end of March and cleared the finance 8 days later.

I paid daily interest for that time which was around about 80 quid, kept the discount and additional incentives.

I done exactly this with VWFS 5 years ago and my daughter has recently done the same.

VWFS now charge a £99? 'admin' fee if you want the 2 year service pack, but that's easily offset.

If you have the cash to settle within a few days and take the benefit, why not....

I think the £99 is the current standard charge for a 2yr service plan on VWFS financed Approved Used - so you're paying that regardless of whether you keep the finance or not. In some ways it's reassuring if they charge something as once you've paid they can't take it away.

Last car we got in the family this way, new Skoda Kamiq 18mths ago, the 2yr service package was £199. Withdrew from the finance on that car a few days later and VWFS surprised me by waiving the daily interest fee. Done it three times and they've never waived the fee before.

I do find it slightly odd that the incentives (mainly the deposit contribution) aren't withdrawn when you withdraw from the finance, but they're not. It did somewhat worry me when they waived the daily fee but I made sure they stated the amount I owed was the full and final payment.

I’ve just done it a few weeks ago with bmw , I took the finance deal to get the existing owner £1500 discount then settled the finance agreement two days after getting the car .
BMW financial services never questioned anything about it .

Did the same with Nissan, day after, made an online account, got the settlement figure and paid, think it cost me £50
