Elevated liver function? Anyone had this?

Backround - I’ve been having some Sharp pains around my abdomen, went to the GP who did some blood tests and those came back with elevated liver function which they said where nothing to worry about but to do another blood test in 6 months, feels a bit fobbed off to me. The pain came suddenly and I’ve not had this before

I am 32

I’ve stopped drinking alcohol and eating red meat completely (was never a big drinker, maybe a couple of glasses of red wine a week) and the pain has pretty much stopped, I was also getting quite a salty taste in my mouth which apparently is caused by acid reflux

Has anyone else had this and what was the cause?

When my gallbladder was causing me grief one of the symptoms was elevated liver function, another symptom was excruciating pain in the upper right part of my abdomen.

Ask nicely for an ultrasound to check for gallstones and/or biliary sludge in the bile duct.

Thanks , will do! My parents both have gallbladder issues and I believe they are hereditary
