Have received a “save the date” message from Ferrari re new launch on 9th September. Anyone know what it is?

Believed to be SF90M so the email is possibly over-egging its novelty

Would they ever do the F40 anniversary car?

Well, turns out it's a new Testarossa.

Not too keen on the styling at the front. Looks a bit 'duck-billed' !?

Need to see it in the 'flesh' before passing final judgement.

Name a mess, car a mess, so much going on there, that’s just bad design. Get rid of Manzoni, bring back Pininfarina and forget HP wars, go build lighter cars, less hp, and finally Carbon Tub on all cars, please go backwards to find your mojo. People will pay up for that, so don’t worry shareholders

I'm not but I quite like it. Unfashionable view so far it seems. In looks terms, I certainly prefer it to the SF90, which never appealed to me.

What an incoherent mess …and what is the actual connection to the Testarossa seems a cynical marketing exercise to me to extract cash from the latest and greatest crowd. Ferrari styling really gone down the tubes last half decent one was the 812.

Yes! We don't need 1000hp hybrids. I've only driven a F430 and 458 briefly but at no point did I think I wish this had double the power. I was on a small track and they were way too fast.

I don't like it, but I agree that it is an improvement over the SF90. I really dislike the rear deck with the glass on the SF90, this one looks a bit better resolved (still would prefer no glass, not sure why they feel the need to do that on all the mid-engined cars)

I quite like it, although it’s not really a classy looker like older cars.

It’s way to expensive as many are these days.

I agree that all cars are too expensive (the other way of looking at this is that I just make way too little money....), but it is in line with something like a Reventon, which kind of makes sense to me. I'd not really see the SF90 and this one as the natural progression of the "cheaper" V8 cars of old, more in line with the Aventador/Reventon as Ferrari missed a mid-engined top-end car since the 90s (ignoring the special ones, which are another price/availability level).

Was in my regular Ferrari dealer today (not for one of these) and it seems they have taken quite a few deposits (£30k now, £30k once spec’d) so either some people like them or they’re hoping for a quick flip (but haven’t those days gone?).

would be shocked if these go for overs, spec'd up they are going to very very expensive and a lot of people lost big money on the sf90 + the styling

I think it has potential to be a future classic though if they hardly sell any and it becomes a rarity

This.. same people who thought SF90 thinking it was a much cheaper LaF performance must be dropping the deposits thinking it’s the same with F80, going to be painful depreciation again, because it’s priced wrong from the get go.

not sure it is priced wrong per se.
A Turbo S is 270k
A GT2RS will likely be somewhere around 350k
This is 460k
The Revuelto is 500k

You can make a case that all cars are too expensive nowadays, but on a relative basis it is probably priced right imo
