Just in case anyone from here is going, I understand everything has been moved forward by an hour to avoid some poor weather later in the day

Looking forward to this - the MTB v Enduro bikes shown earlier this week was good; Johnny Walker (Triumph) and Billy Bolt (Husqvarna) teamed up with the Jones twins for a relay of the Hardline course.......

Absolutely boggles my mind watching people do this but then to realise it is Gee Atherton after everything he has gone through in recent years... insanity!

Amazes me how they know what speed is enough on the 90ft jumps not to come up short.

Proper skills.

Back from an excellent day at Hardline

Dear God, these riders are a breed apart - riding berms fast enough to make normal riders buckle and jumping almost 100 feet - truly crazy…

Nice pics. I would like to get there next year, is it a tough climb up the hill?

Fair plays to Matt Jones for giving it a good go, while being completely out of his comfort zone!
And crashing twice on his race run!

And well done for Louise for being the first women to complete a full run!

But the top 3 really were top level.
I was sure Ronan was going to take it, then Hatton obliterated his time by several seconds!
Then Asa took another couple of seconds off it!

There are parts of the gill that are very steep and slippery (I believe it used to be the old course), use some good walking boots and take your time and you'll be OK.

An awesome day, not just the race but walking round the pits and the whole atmosphere.

I done a fair bit of mountain biking, but this event is pretty much a completely different sport.

Its only about 200m from the car park to the highest spectating point and for most people, it'll be fine. I'm in my early 60s and I was blowing a bit on a couple of sections, but I took my time and got there eventually. Didn't help that it was really humid in the morning - I could see my breath despite it being about 15+ degrees.

The steepest bits are through woods and without any formal track, so it was really slippery in places, especially after several hundred other people had walked / clambered up there. Take walking boots with LOTS of grip...

Great pics guys!

I'm out of the loop with DH, but I was surprised they use SPDs. I thought it was flat pedal heaven these days.

Winning run. The speed! eek
