Crazy story, YT comments saying he doesnt sound the full ticket (Or perhaps hes just some propaganda artist)

There is a barber guy (Lots of face tattoos) who did the same thing and is on YT, I think honestly it's a bad mix - slightly thick (Vulnerable) people who dont leave the US often, go to Russia and fall for the whole 'Its not woke' thing.

Russia is not in the slightest bit left leaning/ woke (Despite its history as communist which one could argue was more authoritarian than left leaning/ liberal) and you couldnt pay me to move there!

From memory he expected to be put in a repair company behind the front lines fixing broken down equipment. He was a welder for 10 years or something?

Last I heard he was being sent to a training camp for 3 weeks before going to the front. Doesn't speak Russian, so the training is pretty pointless. Is still waiting for his sign on bonus, while also having to buy some of his own gear because the stuff the Russians had provided was old and/or st. Family are paying for it.

Maybe he thought they'd think he's something special as he was American? Protect him to keep the Donald happy? Who knows.

EDIT - saw this in an online newspaper. No idea if it's correct or not, but might give some colour to the situation...

The reason why Derek Huffman fled the US with his family may be different from the official reasons he provided. Court cases online show that Derek Huffman from Texas was being chased by bankruptcy Court but we could not confirm if he is the same person.

It's a bit weird. You'd think Russia would look after the American Traitors to encourage more. That's two they've publicly killed or are about to kill.

Beyond my comprehension.

Pretty terrifying for the kids they made for to Russia with them. Hopefully the US can get them back on home soil and the mother can rot.

I blame the parents for producing and raising such imbeciles.

"After relocating from Arizona to Texas, they were disturbed when their daughter Sophia was expected to speak about lesbian topics at school.

“The final straw was when we found out my daughter Sophia learnt about lesbians from a girl in her class. She didn’t fully understand it, but for us, that was enough to realise something had to change,” Mr Huffman told Russia Today."

So not taught it, just from a peer. Odd that teens would actually talk with each other about stuff. Clearly his faith has wiped out all his memories of being a teenager.

"The Huffmans settled in an “American village”, a settlement in Istra created by US expat and blogger Tim Kirby, who has lived in Russia for two decades. It was founded in 2023 as a refuge for Americans fleeing what Mr Kirby described as “liberal gender norms”. However only two families, including the Huffmans, are known to have moved there, according to a report by United24Media."

Well that worked out well for them. Save the brainwashed kids, leave the parents there in their new utopia. Sign the mother up for the army as well.

Yup.

The kind that selective choose from the Bible which parts to observe to suit their own agenda.
