Normandy over Xmas
Discussion
Has anyone stayed over Christmas in Normandy?
Brittany are doing ferries from poole so wondering if it's the good excuse to get away and avoid the norm we have yearly.
Is it much of a muchness like the UK regarding restaurant hours and supermarkets etc or do they go full blown usual French Sunday hours for the break period?

Christmas is not in your face in France as it it in the UK. Normally places close for Christmas Day and the rest of the time business as usual. I assume that your accommodation would provide food for the day but otherwise much as normal, restaurants closed Mondays etc.
lots of attractions are closed over the winter or have reduced hours so check how you want to pass the time.
