For gods sake. As I approach 50 my hangovers from beer and lager are terrible, enough to stop drinking altogether. I’m not a heavy drinker by any means. Barely go the pub but still occasionally enjoyed a pint or two if I did. So went over to 0%….and it still happens. What the hell is going on here, what has happened to me.
Two bottles of Erdzinger (whatever it’s called) last night, and it feels as if I had two pints of Stella.
Anyone else? Or is now I’m the lightest of lightweights with a real danger of floating away?

I find it still dehydrates. I have had hangovers with 0%.... I don't bother these days. Ill have the odd one here or there but drinking 8 x 0% beers doesn't make sense.

Erdinger is a wheat beer as well which are, as far as hangovers is concerned, pretty dirty.

It's the best 0% in my opinion.

I get 0% beer 'hangovers' as well - odd taste and bit of a fuzzy head but not approaching the true misery of waking up after hosing down bottles of Côtes du Rhône and chasing them with half a bottle of brandy.

You must have an intolerance to one or more ingredient or outcome of the production process. Non alcoholic beer still contains all ten other stuff and goes through a similar process

Hmm there was a recent test in Which or some other publication which tested calories and in particualr sugar in zero alcohol beers. Erdinger was by far the worst with a huge amount of sugar in it.
As for taste there are many other zero percent beers/lagers which taste much better than Erdinge IMHO.

It's going to be something like that, assuming it was in date.

The worst reactions I've had to beer have never been due to the quantities of alcohol involved.

I think this was discussed on another thread recently.

I have had similar mild hangover symptoms with both Guinness 0.0 and Moretti Zero, which is a pita especially as I tried lots of alcohol free beers before deciding that they were the only two I really liked!

Concur. I made the same mistake last NYE. Four or five alcohol-free beers, woke up the next day feeling worse than if I had a couple of real ones.

Stick to water.

I am the same. At 60 I am near to T Total now due to hangovers. One pint of proper beer, that I really like, and I will be bad from about 5am the next morning. I have basically had to stop.
I tried a few alcohol free beers and decided I prefer diet coke or water. They were all quite horrid.

I even tried the alcohol free gin with tonic. I like tonic very much the gin ruined it.

Sign of age I think.

If you’re getting hangovers from alcohol free beer then stop drinking it. Most aren’t worth drinking anyway, although I do like Guinness zero. Drink more proper beer and you’ll get fewer hangovers. Everything in moderation, including moderation.

I haven't found a 0% beer that tastes nice

Its lemonade if I'm driving. They are all really bad tasting.

2 mouthfuls and I want it out of me. Enough for a hangover, never going to happen.

Worst headache I've ever had, by some considerable margin, was the morning after drinking two bottles of Beck's Blue. Since then if I'm not drinking alcohol I just have a soft drink. Not going there again!

I find San Miguel 0% with lemon nice and cold is very palatable. It's not the same as the "real" stuff but I've become accustomed to Lidls own 0% and the Aldi one, again with lemon is pleasant enough.

Probably allergic to one of the preservatives used.
Try a good german beer. Not imported ect. But a real genuine german beer. They cant use preservatives in them. Cant remember exactly what they are called.

No more ‘hangover’.

I get to mix it when I'm out with work colleagues - two of them refuse to order alcohol free beer.

Thanks all, I’m glad I’m not the only one then.
